John R. Fielder is president of Southern California Edison (SCE), one of the nation's largest electric utilities.
Previously, he was senior vice president of SCE's Regulatory Policy
and Affairs, responsible for developing and implementing regulatory
policies and managing proceedings before the California Public
Utilities Commission and other regulatory agencies. In that role, he
was also responsible for the utility's Environmental Affairs
organization. In October 2005, he was elected president of the
company.
Fielder began his Edison career in 1970 and held a variety of
supervisory and management positions in the Information Services
organization. He was named vice president of Information Services,
SCE's technology and systems organization, in 1989. He assumed the
role of vice president of Regulatory Policy and Affairs in 1992 and
was promoted to senior vice president in 1998.
Fielder is a member of the Rancho Los Cerritos Foundation and serves
on the boards of directors of Miller Children's Hospital, the
Aquarium of the Pacific, the Southern California Leadership Council,
and the Alliance to Save Energy.
He earned his law degree from Pepperdine University Law School, his
M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his B.A.
from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Peggy Johnson serves as executive vice president of the Americas and India. Johnson is responsible for global development including working with partners
to drive the adoption of 3G wireless broadband
in the Americas and India. Johnson also serves as a member of
Qualcomm's executive committee. Johnson previously served as
president of Qualcomm Internet Services (QIS) and MediaFLO
Technologies. Johnson was integral in establishing the foundation
for QIS and leading the development of next-generation wireless
technology. Under Johnson's leadership, QIS was successful at
developing the BREW® solution, a family of offerings that includes
uiOne, deliveryOne, QPoint and BREW Signature Solutions as well as
the QChat® push-to-talk solution.
Johnson began her career at Qualcomm in 1989 as a software engineer
within Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions (QWBS). She held several
positions within QWBS, including director of business development,
where she was responsible for adding network management centers for
the OmniTRACS system in Malaysia, Korea, Japan and Mexico. She also
served as vice president of technology, where she led the customer
software group. She joined Qualcomm Consumer Products in 1997 as
vice president of business development and was appointed vice
president of sales shortly thereafter. Johnson was named senior vice
president of sales for QCP in April 2000 and took on the additional
responsibilities of marketing for Kyocera Wireless in a transitional
role after the sale of QCP to Kyocera. Prior to joining Qualcomm,
Johnson worked as an engineer for General Electric's Military
Electronics Division.

Holly Vineyard serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Africa,
the Middle East and South Asia in the International
Trade Administration's Market Access and Compliance unit. In this
position, she directs the Department's regional activities on market
access, trade, commerce and compliance with international trade
agreements. She is responsible for developing programs, policies and
strategies to strengthen the U.S. commercial position in nearly 80
countries.
She serves as a co-chair for the U.S.- India Trade Policy Forum?s
focus group on tariff and non-tariff barriers and as a co-chair for
the U.S.- India High Technology Cooperation Group?s working group on
Biotechnology and Life Sciences (which includes biotechnology,
pharmaceuticals, medical devices and health IT).
Ms. Vineyard joined the Commerce Department in 1994. Prior to her
current position, Ms. Vineyard served as the Director of the Office
of Africa, as Senior Policy Advisor to the Under Secretary of
Commerce for International Trade, and as a desk officer in the
Office of South Asia and Oceania. She has been detailed twice to the
Senate Finance Committee, where she worked with the Trade
Subcommittee on a wide range of issues, including its consideration
of the African Growth and Opportunity Act. Prior to joining the
Commerce Department, Ms. Vineyard worked in the private sector.
